Peter obtained arachnid-like powers when bitten by a radioactive spider during a high school science experiment.Peter learned that with great power comes great responsibility after the death of his Uncle Ben to a mugger.Spider-Man is a character well-known throughout the Marvel universe, as well as one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. His motto is "With great power comes great responsibility", which is summarized after a lesson taught by his uncle, Peter's biggest hero who died soon after Peter gained his powers.
The two share a very interesting friendship, filled with ups and downs.
An example of this is in Issue #10, Volume #4, when the dynamic between the characters is slightly altered.
This is due to The Superior Spider-Man, Otto's new opinion on evil-doers, and the fact that Deadpool unknowingly made fun of him during a battle and stole one of his web shooters.
There are also some instances where they don't see eye to eye, a key example of this is Deadpool's mercenary and lack of morals.
Despite this, they have been shown to have incredible teamwork and in truth Deadpool has a deep admiration for Spiderman, and wants nothing more than to be his best friend.
Additionally, Deadpool's continuous flirtation with Spiderman has lead many to believe that there may also be romantic connotations between the two.Orphaned as a baby when his parents were killed overseas in a plane crash as U. government spies, only child Peter Parker was raised by his elderly Uncle Ben and Aunt May.Academically gifted, Peter displayed an uncanny affinity for science that was nothing short of genius.Socially, however, he was painfully shy and the target of much cruelty by his peers at Midtown High School.Attending a public science exhibit when Peter was 15-years old, he was bitten on the hand by a radioactive spider accidentally irradiated by a particle beam, empowering Peter with the arachnid's proportional strength and agility, and the ability to cling to almost any surface. Most incredibly, he had gained a sixth sense that provided him with early warning of impending danger.
